Ancient tones may unlock modern speech recovery after stroke
NCT ID NCT07329751
Summary
This study aims to understand how a traditional Chinese speech training method, based on five musical tones, helps people with aphasia (language loss after a stroke) regain fluency. Researchers will enroll 120 adults who have had a stroke and have difficulty speaking. They will use brain scans and language tests to see how the training changes brain activity and improves communication.
