First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at the safety and effectiveness of the drug Firazyr (icatibant) in 32 children and teenagers (ages 2 to 17) with hereditary angioedema (HAE), a condition that causes sudden, painful swelling attacks. Doctors gave the injection during an attack and watched for side effects and how quickly symptoms went away over 3 months. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and works well for younger patients.
