First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether full-body clothing made with far-infrared (FIR) fibers affects body temperature, heart rate, power, and oxygen use in 9 young competitive cyclists. Each cyclist rode a stationary bike for 40 minutes at a steady pace, then did a short sprint, wearing either the FIR garment or a regular one. The goal was to see if FIR fabrics help with thermoregulation and performance during exercise.
