NCT ID NCT07235891
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study will test whether the drug finerenone can protect the retina (the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye) in people with chronic kidney disease. About 40 adults with stage 2 to 4 kidney disease will receive finerenone, and researchers will measure changes in retinal nerve thickness using a special eye scan. The goal is to see if finerenone can slow or prevent eye damage, which is a common complication of kidney disease.
