NCT ID NCT06818305
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two drugs, finerenone and empagliflozin (used alone or together), could slow kidney function decline in people at high risk for chronic kidney disease after having a kidney removed for cancer. Ten participants took the drugs or no drug for one year, with regular checkups. The study was terminated early, so results are limited, but the goal was to see if these drugs could delay further kidney damage.
