Heart surgery bleeding breakthrough: personalized dosing could save lives and money

Summary

This study looks at how to give the right amount of a blood-clotting protein called fibrinogen to people who have heavy bleeding after heart surgery. The goal is to stop bleeding faster and use less of the expensive treatment. About 150 adults having heart surgery will take part to help doctors learn the best dose for each person.
