Could a simple brain scan better date your pregnancy?

Summary
This study aims to see if measuring the size of a specific part of the fetal brain, called the thalamus, on a standard 2D ultrasound scan can be a reliable way to determine how far along a pregnancy is. Researchers will enroll 110 pregnant women between 18 and 36 weeks to take these measurements and compare them to established methods of dating a pregnancy. The goal is to gather knowledge that could improve the accuracy of tracking fetal growth.
