First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at bone tissue from 34 men who had hip replacement surgery due to femur head necrosis (bone death) or arthritis. Researchers used advanced imaging and chemical analysis to find out what changes happen in the bone that lead to necrosis. The goal was to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
