First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 100 preterm babies who were small for their age. Doctors wanted to find the best way to calculate their nutrition needs. They compared using the baby's actual birth weight versus a corrected weight based on growth charts. The goal was to see which method helped babies gain weight better while on special IV nutrition.
