First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a fecal microbiota transplant to babies born by C-section can improve their gut bacteria and help prevent overweight or obesity. Researchers will track the growth and health of 534 infants who receive the transplant shortly after birth. The goal is to see if early gut bacteria from a donor can make a lasting difference.
