Fear of moving could slow recovery after heart pump surgery
NCT ID NCT07394621
Summary
This study aims to understand if fear of movement affects how well patients recover after getting a mechanical heart pump (LVAD). Researchers will follow 37 heart failure patients for one month after surgery, measuring their fear levels and physical abilities through questionnaires and simple walking/sitting tests. The goal is to see if reducing fear of movement helps patients become more active and improve their endurance during recovery.
