First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at how fear, feelings of fullness, and gut hormones cause stomach pain in people with eating disorders. 133 women with eating disorders ate a test meal while researchers measured their fear, stomach discomfort, and hormone levels. The goal was to better understand what keeps eating disorders going, not to test a new treatment.
