First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether repeated FDG-PET/CT scans can help doctors choose patients and measure treatment response in people with abdominal cancer spread (peritoneal metastasis) receiving a special chemotherapy called PIPAC. 34 patients were enrolled, and the focus was on how well the scans could detect changes in cancer activity after treatment. The goal was to see if this imaging method is useful and practical for guiding care.
