Could early steroids save Kids' brains after stroke?

NCT ID NCT06040255

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving steroids early can help children who had a stroke due to a condition called focal cerebral arteriopathy (FCA). About 80 kids will be split into two groups: one gets steroids right away, the other gets them only if the disease gets worse. All children receive standard care with aspirin. The goal is to see if early treatment reduces artery damage and improves recovery.
