First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This completed trial in Turkey looked at whether father-infant skin-to-skin contact improves bonding. 165 first-time fathers of healthy newborns were randomly assigned to early one-time contact, frequent contact, or standard care. Bonding was measured with a questionnaire at 3 months after birth. The study aims to see if this simple, low-cost practice can strengthen the father-baby relationship.
