First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a short, 5-session counseling program called LEAD for fathers in Kenya who have depression and drink alcohol. The program is delivered by trained peer counselors, not doctors. Researchers want to see if it helps fathers feel better, drink less, and improve their children's mental health. About 102 fathers will be randomly assigned to the program or a waitlist.
