Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 300 adults hospitalized with rare but life-threatening flesh-eating infections (necrotizing soft tissue infections). Researchers want to find early warning signs—like vital signs and blood test results—that can predict which patients are at highest risk of dying in the hospital. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients sooner so they can provide more intensive care. No new treatments or tests are involved; the study only uses information already collected during routine care.
