First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether fat in the liver, found during pregnancy ultrasound, can help predict blood sugar problems after delivery in women who had gestational diabetes. Researchers will follow 189 women for 6-12 weeks after birth to measure insulin resistance and other markers. The goal is to identify those at higher risk for type 2 diabetes early, so they can get support to prevent it.
