New scan could better show how melanoma fights immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT07215182

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study is testing a special PET/CT scan using a tracer called [68Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 to see if it can better track how advanced melanoma responds to immunotherapy. About 20 adults with stage IV melanoma will get two of these scans—one before starting treatment and one after three months—plus blood samples and follow-up. The goal is to compare this new scan with standard imaging to improve how doctors evaluate treatment success.
