First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a one-time family care education session for parents of at-risk newborns could improve outcomes. 34 parent-infant pairs took part. Researchers measured parental depression, anxiety, care involvement, and baby's pain at 10 days and at discharge. The goal was to see if teaching parents to care for their hospitalized baby helps both the baby and the parents.
