This study tested a decision rule to see if it can safely identify which older adults (65+) do not need a head CT after a fall. Only about 5% of these patients have a brain bleed, but the consequences can be serious. Researchers checked the rule's accuracy in 800 patients to reduce unnecessary scans and radiation exposure.
