Summary
This study tested whether a computer system using cameras and machine learning could predict a patient's risk of falling in a hospital. Researchers recorded 177 adults walking in a hallway, analyzed their gait, and combined that data with a standard fall-risk questionnaire. The goal was to create a tool that gives nurses real-time, objective fall risk scores without needing to touch the patient.
