First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 people with hemifacial atrophy (one side of the face is smaller) who had either fat grafting or free-flap surgery to restore volume. Researchers used 2D photos and 3D scans to measure how much facial symmetry improved at least 6 months after surgery. The goal is to find out which method works better for making faces look more balanced.
