Eye scan could reveal hidden heart risks from sleep apnea
NCT ID NCT03979001
Summary
This study explored whether a new, non-invasive eye scan could detect tiny blood vessel changes in the retina linked to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Researchers compared eye scans from 166 adults, including people with OSA and a control group without it. The goal was to see if these eye changes could serve as an early warning sign for potential future heart problems in people with sleep apnea.
