Could a light zap reduce painful eye injections?

NCT ID NCT00527475

Summary

This study tested if combining a standard eye injection (ranibizumab) with a special light therapy (photodynamic therapy) could help people with wet macular degeneration. The goal was to see if this combination could reduce the number of injections needed over a year while still protecting vision. The trial involved 60 participants who were randomly assigned to receive either the injections alone or the combination treatment.
