Could a simple blink reveal hidden consciousness?

NCT ID NCT06464549

Summary

This study is testing whether measuring a person's natural eye blinks can help doctors better assess consciousness and attention in patients with severe brain injuries. Researchers will record the eye blinks of 55 participants, including patients and healthy individuals, while they listen to sounds. The goal is to see if blink patterns can help distinguish between different levels of consciousness and support better care decisions.
