Summary
This study is working to create a new blood test for pregnant women that can check for serious single-gene disorders like cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, and sickle cell disease. Researchers will collect blood samples from 4,000 pregnant women who are at higher risk, along with information from their partners and newborns. The goal is to see how well the test can tell if a baby is at high or low risk for these conditions.
