First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study aims to develop a blood test that can accurately distinguish between two common types of liver cancer—hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma—before surgery. Researchers will analyze tiny particles called exosomes in the blood using machine learning. The goal is to give doctors a non-invasive tool to guide treatment decisions. The study will enroll 400 adults already diagnosed with one of these cancers.
