Video games meet real objects: a new hope for Parkinson's hand control?

NCT ID NCT07475741

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to help people with early-stage Parkinson's disease improve hand function. Instead of just playing a video game on a screen, participants will use real physical objects along with the game. The goal is to see if this 'phygital' approach works better than standard digital games for daily tasks like grasping and moving objects. 30 people will take part in this 12-week pilot study.
