Can simply moving more boost exercise benefits for heart health?
NCT ID NCT06270810
Summary
This study tested whether adding more daily movement to a regular aerobic exercise routine provides better heart and metabolic health benefits than exercise alone for overweight young women. Researchers compared two groups over 8 weeks: one did aerobic exercise, while the other did the same exercise plus tried to reduce sitting time and increase general daily activity. They measured cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, and fitness to see which approach worked better.
