Exercise-Powered immune cells take on leukemia in first human trial
NCT ID NCT07254793
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early study tests a new approach using donor immune cells boosted by exercise to prevent or treat leukemia relapse after a stem cell transplant. About 94 people with blood cancers will receive either standard donor cells or these exercise-mobilized cells. The goal is to see if the new cells are safe and better at fighting cancer while reducing side effects like graft-versus-host disease.
