Summary
This study looked at whether combining different doses of exercise with the diabetes drug metformin can improve blood vessel function and insulin sensitivity in adults with metabolic syndrome. 91 participants were assigned to high- or low-intensity exercise, with or without metformin, for 16 weeks. The goal was to find the best way to prevent type 2 diabetes and heart disease in this high-risk group.
