NCT ID NCT06842849

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a structured exercise program can improve physical, foot, and mental health in adults over 59 living in a rural area. One group has been doing the program for a year, another is just starting, and a third group is active but not in the program. Researchers will measure how much moderate-to-vigorous activity each person does and test their mobility and balance.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could show that a simple, group exercise program improves mobility, mood, and overall health in older adults living in rural areas.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study without a placebo control. The results may not apply to other populations, and participants who are already active may show less benefit.
