First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested whether a six-week progressive resistance exercise program could improve lumbopelvic (lower back and pelvis) range of motion in women during their second trimester of pregnancy. Fifty pregnant women participated, with half doing the exercise program and half continuing usual care. The exercises focused on strengthening muscles that support the lower back and hips, aiming to ease movement and reduce pain.
