First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a high-intensity exercise program is safe and helpful for stroke survivors with aphasia, a language disorder. Twelve adults who had a stroke at least six months ago took part in either a low- or high-intensity exercise program. Researchers measured changes in language ability, physical fitness, and thinking skills to see if exercise could boost recovery.
