First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether doing specific exercises during hemodialysis sessions can help people with chronic kidney disease move better and be more independent in daily activities. 56 adults on maintenance dialysis were split into groups that did either exercise training, breathing muscle training, or usual care. The results showed that the exercise programs improved walking distance and mobility compared to usual care.
