NCT ID NCT07340281
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how exercise affects brain markers linked to anxiety. Thirty adults with anxiety disorders will follow a 4-week virtual exercise program. Researchers will measure specific brain chemicals from blood samples to understand the biological changes behind exercise's calming effects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- exercise intervention
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could reveal how exercise reduces anxiety by changing brain chemistry, pointing toward new ways to treat anxiety disorders.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 participants and no control group. Results may not apply to everyone, and the exercise program may be hard to maintain.
