This study looked at how two different exercise programs—high-speed resistance training and plyometric jump training—affect muscle stiffness, jumping ability, and everyday activities in older adults living independently. Researchers measured changes in leg muscle and tendon stiffness using special imaging, as well as walking efficiency and energy use.
