First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is testing a device called ExAblate 4000 that uses focused ultrasound waves to destroy benign (non-cancerous) brain tumors without making any cuts in the skin. It involves 20 children and young adults with centrally located brain tumors that need treatment. The main goals are to see if the procedure is safe and if it can shrink the tumor over time.
