New combo therapy aims to tame stubborn transplant complication
NCT ID NCT06991361
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether a single dose of specially grown immune cells (EVE-Treg) combined with daily low-dose interleukin-2 can safely treat chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGvHD) that hasn't responded to steroids or IL-2 alone. About 21 people aged 2 and older who have had a stem cell transplant will take part. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, since ongoing management is still needed.
