First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether PET/CT scans can detect heart damage caused by radiation therapy in people with lung or esophageal cancer. About 20 participants will get special heart scans before, during, and after their radiation treatment. The goal is to see if the scans can pick up changes in the heart, which may help doctors monitor and reduce heart problems in the future.
