Summary
This study tested a mobile app called eSTEP designed to help transgender women and gay/bisexual men start and continue taking PrEP, a daily pill or shot that prevents HIV. 116 participants used the app alongside their regular HIV testing and clinic visits. The goal was to see if the app helped more people begin PrEP and keep protective levels of the medication in their bodies.
