First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study will follow 750 adults with early-stage esophageal cancer or precancerous Barrett's esophagus who undergo a minimally invasive procedure called endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). The goal is to see how often the cancer comes back, how well the procedure removes the tumor completely, and what factors predict success or complications. By collecting data from many French hospitals, researchers hope to provide real-world evidence to guide treatment decisions.
