New scan could reveal hidden cancer treatment secrets

Summary
This study is testing whether a special PET scan called 18F-FSPG can show how well chemotherapy and radiation are working in people with esophageal cancer. About 60 adults with untreated, locally advanced esophageal cancer will get the scan before and during treatment. The goal is to see if the scan can predict treatment response, not to provide a direct benefit to participants.
