Summary
This study tested whether adding the targeted drug erlotinib to standard chemotherapy helps control head and neck cancer before surgery. About 55 adults with advanced but operable head and neck cancer took part. The main goal was to see if the combination led to fewer remaining cancer cells in the removed tumor.
