Summary
This study tested whether an investigational drug called MT-7117 could help adults with erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP) spend more time in sunlight without developing painful skin symptoms. Over 100 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo for 16 weeks, and researchers measured how long they could be in the sun before symptoms started. The goal was to see if the treatment was safe and could improve daily life for people with this light-sensitive condition.
