Summary
This study looks at a special surgery for children who lost the top part of their thigh bone (the growth plate and joint surface) due to a severe hip infection. The surgery moves a piece of bone from another part of the leg to rebuild the hip. Researchers will check how well the hip works and if the bone heals properly, at least five years after the surgery. The goal is to see if this surgery helps children have better hip function long-term.
