First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests the safety of an experimental eye injection called EO2002 given right after cataract surgery. The goal is to see if it can help protect the thin layer of cells on the inside of the cornea, which often gets damaged during surgery. About 32 adults with cataracts and low corneal cell counts will take part, and half will receive the real injection while the other half gets a sham (fake) procedure.
