Summary
This early-phase study tested an experimental gene therapy called Engensis (VM202) in 12 adults with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Participants received injections into their leg muscles at different doses to check safety and whether it could reduce pain. The goal was to see if the treatment is safe and might ease nerve pain caused by diabetes.
