Race against time: finding the safest moment to stop bleeding in High-Risk heart patients
NCT ID NCT07507162
Summary
This study aims to find the best time to perform a stomach exam (endoscopy) for heart disease patients on blood thinners who develop serious stomach bleeding. Researchers will compare doing the exam urgently (within 12 hours) versus early (12-24 hours) after hospital arrival. The main goal is to see which timing leads to fewer serious heart problems, less re-bleeding, and better overall safety for these patients.
